CLASSIC FJORD HISTORY

Majestic Hotel Mundal in the fjord is a unique example of a Norwegian hotel tradition

from the late 1800s, and we have always seen ourselves in holding on to the authentic and evocative.

When you set up in front of the fireplace, it is in deep leather chairs, made by craftsmen in the village for over 100 years ago. The world around has changed in record time. Hotel Mundal in Sogn still has an atmosphere of those rare, with fjords, glaciers and book town as its closest neighbors.

 

 

TO RENEW BACK IN TIME

In 2011, several of the rooms at the hotel refurbished. Light wallpaper, new comfortable
beds and beautiful furnishings are installed in several rooms. This is from the tower room
where the Queen has lived on several occasions - The room has a private balcony with
